Here we have quite a rare gem from the late 80's the famous Denon DAP-5500 digital preamp combining a high quality balanced analog preamp with a high end fully balanced push pull DAC using 4 of the great burr brown PCM57pk R2r dac Chipsets,
This unit is built like a wadia product with solid alloy billet casing with copper internal shielding, the digital and analog sections are completely isolated from each other as can be seen in the pics, it uses a very nice ALPs volume pot as well.
